Apiary takes its cue from nature’s favourite geometry: the hexagon. Inspired by honeycomb structures and the striking basalt formations of Ōhira Bay in the Chatham Islands, this design brings subtle pattern, structural strength and a sense of natural order into the home. The refined loop pile creates a soft, organic texture that sits comfortably in both contemporary and classic interiors.
Crafted from premium New Zealand felted wool, Apiary is made using a process of heat, moisture and agitation to bind the fibres tightly together. This creates a dense, durable yarn that feels beautifully tactile underfoot and is designed to shed less than traditional wool carpets. The result is a crisp, low-shed loop pile that holds its shape and appearance over time.
Every stage of Apiary’s production—from fibre design and dyeing, to spinning, felting and tufting—is proudly carried out in New Zealand.
